(3 hours) In Indian dialect, Zihuatanejo means "River of the Yellow Water". This small bay and resort was discovered by tourists in 1940. At the time, the only access to the village was by the sea. Your visit to the small town will provide you with some of the most breathtaking sites of the Ixtapa Hotel complex, where you will have ample time for sightseeing, shopping, or just relaxing. (3 hours) Heading toward La Ropa, the most popular beach in Zihuatanejo, a photo stop will be made at La Madera Lookout for a magnificent view of Zihuatanejo Bay. Upon arrival at the Gitanos Beach Club, you will be welcomed with a drink before the fun begins. Join in on the beach games or just soak up the sun, swim or relax on the sandy beach.

Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo Resort Tour

(3 hours) Leaving the port, you will head toward Ixtapa, where you will see the computer-planned resort and residential area, as well as the beautiful beaches along the Pacific coast. At Playa Quieta (Calm Beach), a photo stop will be made for you to view the magnificent island of Ixtapa.  Back in Zihuatanejo, you will have an opportunity to shop at the local stalls while taking in the charm of this slow paced fishing village with its unspoiled beaches.
