Kona Historical Tour

(3½ hours) Learn the legends and folklore of historic Hawaii. Drive through the town of Kailua-Kona to the lovely Kealakekua Bay with its sparkling shades of blue. Here you will see the monument to Captain James Cook, in memory of the island's western discoverer. Then on to the "City of Refugee" National Historic Park and St. Benedict's "Painted Church" to admire its splendid murals. Before returning, a stop will be made at the Kona Coffee Outlet.

Parker Ranch Tour

(4 hours) At the Parker Ranch Visitor Center, learn about the largest privately-owned ranch in the U.S. Visit the home of the owner of Parker Ranch and the historic home of the ranches' founder, John Palmer Parker, which was originally built in the 1840's in the style of the New England Saltbox house; It is made entirely of Koa, the rare Hawaiian wood and contains personal items and old photographs of the Parker family.
