(2 hours) Once enjoyed by Queen Elizabeth, this tour takes you through the quaint
city of St. George's and into the countryside along Morne Jaloux Ridge passing by fishing
villages, sugar plantations and the Point Salines Airport, sight of the U.S. military
rescue mission in 1983. Heading back to town, you will pass by the beautiful Grand Anse

Runner Cruise

(3 1/2 hours) Enjoy the sound of the steel band along with freeflowing rum punch as
you cruise out of St. George's harbor and over the Grand Reef, where the glass bottom
viewers allow you a close and unhindered view of coral and tropical fish. Stop at Morne
Rouge Beach where you can hunt for shells, swim or just relax on the white sand. On the
return, join the conga line or win a prize in the limbo contest.

(2 hours) The Rhum Runner sails north past picturesque St. George's to Moliniere
Point for some spectacular snorkeling in the blue Caribbean. Dive off the side platforms

Mountain Rain Forest/Grand

(3 hours) Your drive starts in St. George, the capital of Grenada with its redtiled
roofs and spice markets. Passing through many small villages, you will stop at Dougaldston
Spice Estate, a historical monument of Grenada's fishing village and described as the town
that never sleeps. Continuing past fields of cocoa, nutmeg and various spices, you will
arrive at Grand Etang Lake. This cobalt blue extinct volcano crater lake is situated 1900'
above sea level. The descent back is through magnificent hanging carpets of green mountain
fern.

Grenada Sugar Factory, the producer of Clarke's Court Rum, you will have an opportunity to
sample the rum. A short stop will be made at Grand Anse, the main resort area, before

Governor General, you will drive on to Fort Frederick where there will be a short stop to

an opportunity to sample the rum. Then to the famous Grand Anse Beach where there will be

St. George's Drive and Products
of Grenada

(3 hours) St. George's, one of the most picturesque harbours in the Caribbean was
originally a crater of a dormant volcano now the waterfront is lined with buildings dating
back to the 18th century. Driving through the winding streets, you will pass by the market
square where fruit and spices are sold. The drive continues as you pass by the Governor
General's residence and proceed to Fort Frederick, built in 1779 by the French and
finished in 1791 by the English. La Grenade Industries, started in a small family kitchen,
turned nutmeg into La Grenade Liqueur, nutmeg syrup, jams and jellies which are exported
around the world. Passing the small fishing village of Woburn, you will arrive at
the Grenada Sugar Factory, the producer of Clarke's Court Rum, where you will have an
opportunity to sample the rum. The tour will continue to Grenada Clayworks, known for
their pottery and dinnerware that reflects the culture of the Caribbean and is exclusively
Grenadian. Here you will see the potters at work and if you wish, you may purchase their
wares. Before your return to the spice market at the pier, there will be time for a photo
stop at the island's main resort area of Grand Anse! |
