Lodge Salmon Bake and Glacier Flightseeing Adventure via Floatplane
(3 1/2 hours) Departing by floatplane, you will have a breathtaking view en route to the
picturesque rustic Taku Lodge, situated among 5 stunning glaciers. Enjoy a hearty meal of
freshly grilled Alaska King Salmon. After lunch, take a nature walk or simply relax and
enjoy the solitude and tranquility in this wilderness setting. Mendenhall Glacier Float Trip
(3 1/2 hours) This is an exciting, yet gentle introduction to white water rafting
on the Mendenhall River. Floating past the Mendenhall Glacier (1.5 miles wide and 150'
high), you will be treated to views of hanging glaciers and towering peaks. Gliding down
the river, you will encounter exhilarating rapids, adding excitement to the trip. Midway
through, a stop is made for a snack.

Gold Panning and Gold History
Tour
(1 1/2 hours) Relive Juneau's gold rush history as you learn about the mining operation
and get hands-on experience panning for gold at the Last Chance Basin. You will follow the
route taken by Juneau and Harris in their search for gold more than 100 years ago.
Mendenhall Glacier Tour and
Hatchery
(2 1/2 hours) This tour offers an overview of Juneau, the state capital, and its scenic
attractions. Drive through downtown, past the capitol building and Governor's mansion.
Visit Mendenhall Glacier and the U.S. Forest Service Observatory. A scenic drive takes you
through the University of Alaska's campus, past the Quaint Chapel by the Lake and to the
Gastineau Salmon Hatchery, where you can learn about the life cycle of salmon and the
operations of the hatchery.
Mendenhall Glacier Express
(1 hour) Mendenhall Glacier, Juneau's most popular attraction is a moving river of
ice with rugged crevasses and a distinctive blue color. Because of its size, it appears
deceptively close. Take in the many exhibits at the U.S. Forest Service Observatory or go
for a short walk through the nature trails in the area.
Glacier Expedition via
Helicopter
(2 hours) Fly high over Juneau's ice-covered world and experience the stillness and
majesty of the many glaciers that make-up the Juneau Ice Field. You will fly above deep,
aqua-colored crevasses, past knife-edged peaks, hanging glaciers, and ice falls. Land on
the surface of a glacier and step into the landscape of the ice age, as your guide points
out the features. This journey is 60 minutes, which includes a 20 minute glacier landing:

Glacier Explorer: The Pilot's
Choice
(2 1/2 hours) This tour takes you on an exploratory journey to seldom-seen ice fields and
includes 2 glacier landings. You will fly to places our pilots discover and usually keep
secret. At Hidden Valley, a jewel-like offshoot of the Herbert Glacier, your pilot will
shut off the engine and take you on a tour of the clear aqua pools and crevasses of this
silent, serene landscape. The journey is 80 minutes, which includes 2 glacier
landings, 30 minutes total; boots and coats are provided.
Juneau Sport Fishing Adventure
(5 hours - 9 hours) Juneau offers a unique experience as you fish the inside waterways on
a fully equipped sport fishing boat with a view beyond compare, not to mention some of the
best fishing for salmon in Alaska. The boat captain will point out seals, whales, porpoise
and bald eagles. Sit back and relax until it's your turn to catch the big one! A maximum
of 4 anglers per boat will give you plenty of opportunity to try your hand at a world
famous Alaskan salmon.
NOTE: Alaska law requires a 1-day fishing license and a King Salmon Stamp ($20
total) which may be purchased on board.
Juneau Fly Fishing Adventure
(7 hours) Your tour begins with a floatplane flight to a remote area in the heart of the
Tongass National Forest, where you will pursue pacific salmon and cutthroat trout. Aside
from excellent fishing, you will have a view of the rain forest and its varied wildlife
available to few visitors. You may share the stream you fish in with eagles, otters and
occasionally bears.
NOTE: Alaska law requires a 1-day fishing license and a King Salmon stamp ($20
total) which may be purchased from the guide.
Gold Creek Salmon Bake
(1 1/2 hours) Experience Alaska's original
outdoor salmon bake! Enjoy salmon grilled over an open wood fire, ribs, rice pilaf,
baked beans, salad, corn bread, beer, wine and other beverages. Afterwards, roast
marshmallows, enjoy the local musical entertainment or view the Salmon Creek Waterfall,
beneath which, salmon spawn and the remains of a historic mill and gold mine may be seen.

Juneau
Sea Kayaking Adventure
(3 1/2 hours) Upon arrival at Auke Bay, your guide will teach you paddling techniques as
you board the 2-person kayaks. From the Mendenhall Wetlands, you will see the Mendenhall
Glacier from an ocean explorers point of view, as the guide explains the history of the
area and identifies the flora, fauna, and the variety of marine, bird and wildlife seen.
Midway through, a snack will be provided.
NOTE: Warm clothing is recommended. Juneau Wildlife Cruise
(3 1/4 hours) Join in for a remarkable journey into the Alaskan wilderness on a high-speed
catamaran. These waterways are bordered by the majestic Chilkat mountain range and the
Juneau ice field. You will travel through the many islands and channels of Stevens Passage
and Lynn Canal as the Naturalist on board explains the wildlife you may encounter, such as
deer, humpback whales, seals, sea lions, porpoise, and bald eagles. A snack will be
provided.

Mount Robert Tramway Tour
(1/2 hour) Travel 2000' through the forested slopes of Mount Robert's Observatory as the
narrated tram ride enlightens you to the history and culture of Juneau and its Tlingit
ancestors as you savor the unbelievable scenery. At the top, enjoy the breath-taking views
of Juneau and the Chilkat Mountain Range along the inside passage with its majestic
fjords. Walk along the beautiful alpine and rain forest trails or take a guided wildlife
and nature exploration. Browse through the shops for Alaskan crafts and Tlingit Indian art
or treat yourself to a feast of Alaskan delicacies at the mountaintop restaurant.
Guide's Choice: Adventure Hike
(4 1/2 hours) Juneau boasts world-class hiking with more trails than roads. Magnificent
glacial valleys, cascading waterfalls and alpine meadows are just a few of the incredible
places reached only by foot on this unforgettable hiking experience. Snacks and raingear
will be provided.
NOTE: Participants must be in good health; warm clothing and sturdy footgear are
required.
Ski to Sea
(3 hours) Driving through Juneau's historic downtown district, you will learn about the
state's capital city. Over the bridge to Douglas Island, you will ascend the mountain to
the ski resort where your bike trek will begin. Experience the splendor of Southeast
Alaska as you coast downhill through the majestic forests and over meandering streams.
Pedal along the coastline and see the spectacular vistas of the Mendenhall Glacier,
numerous islands, and the Chilkat mountain range. After the 9 mile ride, you are free to
relax along the beach and enjoy a light snack before your return back to the ship or town.
Glacier Flightseeing Adventure
via Floatplane
(1 hour) With all guests provided window seats, this narrated flight provides spectacular
views and photo opportunities of 5 stunning glaciers that are part of the 1500 square
miles of the Juneau ice fields.
Juneau Helicopter/Dog Sledding
Expedition
(2½ hours) Flying over the massive Juneau ice field, you will land on Norris
Glacier, home of our exclusive dog mush camp. You will be captivated by the scenery high
above as you hear stories about the 1000 mile dog sled race from Anchorage to Nome, known
as the Iditarod. Soaring over the picturesque glacial landscape on your dog sled will be
the highlight of your visit, an opportunity offered nowhere else.
NOTE: Guests are required to participate actively on the dog sled ride.
Helicopter Glacier Landing
(2 hours) From an eagle's vantage point, look out in wonder and revel in the stillness and
majesty of the Juneau ice field. Fly among the ice spires and pinnacles of an icefall and
marvel at the one-of-a-kind floating glacier. Your helicopter will touch down to
personally explore the crevasses of the glacier or a stream that suddenly emerges and then
disappears on the ice's surface. Flying over Juneau, the capital of Alaska, you will view
the ships in port and the ruins of the gold mines that originally made Juneau famous.
Soaring over the mountainous back country, be alert for sightings of mountain goats,
moose, black bear and bald eagles. Fabulous photo opportunities abound!

(4 hours) Here is your opportunity to look and feel what it would be like to conquer the
world's challenging peaks, a unique Alaskan adventure. From high above, you will gain a
perspective of your surrounding and become inspired by the area's beauty and mystique
before landing on a glacier for a truly wonderful experience. The professional
mountaineering guides will teach you the basics of gearing up and demonstrate the proper
use of the equipment you have been outfitted with. While you trek across the
ever-changing icy terrain, the guides will explain the significance of the area's geology
and point out various glacier characteristics which you will see first hand. Don't forget
your camera for this incredible mountaineering experience.
