Glacier Helicopter Flightseeing (1 1/2 hours) Encounter the beauty of Valdez as your helicopter lifts off and flies over Old Town, the original site of Valdez de-stroyed in the 1964 earthquake. Your flight takes you over the terminus of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, Prince William Sound and to Columbia Glacier with its steep vertical face of blue luminescent ice rising from the waters of Columbia Bay. Continue to Anderson Pass, used during the gold rush to reach the gold fields. Your helicopter will land at the face of Shoup Glacier before your return back to the ship. |
