Tracy Ferguson, ACC

A native of Illinois, Tracy Ferguson graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies. Shortly after graduating she moved to Miami, where she was initiated into the travel business as a reservation agent for Eastern Airlines. Eventually she moved to Houston and became a travel agent some 30 years ago. She specializes in travel to Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean and has visited virtually every major island in the Caribbean. She is especially enthusiastic about cruising, having been on 45 cruises, and she has also visited much of interior Mexico including a few places most of us have never heard of.

Tracy has always been a fan of the Caribbean.   She first visited Cuba at the age of 15 when it was still legal to travel there.  She hopes to be able to return to Havana within a year or two.  She maintains and increases her knowledge of the various Caribbean islands by attending online seminars and live presentations when the island tourist boards visit Houston. Tracy is a Travel Institute Destination Specialist: Caribbean and is a Accredited Cruise Counselor. She has completed Princess Cruises' Academy and Celebrity Cruises "Starring You" program, although she feels that nothing is as informative as the experience of actually sailing on a ship or visiting a destination.
