Freedom of the Seas
by Cecile Schutter - June 2006

Dear Travel Agent - Cecile Schutter:

It=s time for a family vacation and we can=t make all our wishes come together.  Can you help?  We are a family of four, dad loves to golf, we have a 16 year old son who loves sports, a 14 year old daughter, who is a picky eater, and I just want to pamper myself in a luxury spa for a week.  What do you suggest?  Typical Houston Family

Dear Typical Houston Family:

Golf on the world=s top championship courses, learn to surf, test your skills on rock climbing, basketball, volleyball or paddleball, even take a full Scuba Diving Course, shop to your heart=s content, enjoy pizza, old fashioned hamburgers and shakes, or world class cuisine, work out a sweat or have a body wrap, all this and more can be found on Royal Caribbean=s newest ship, the Freedom of the Seas.

In June 2006, RCI introduced their newest and biggest cruise ship, the Freedom of the Seas.  Freedom is not a political statement, it says that you can do whatever you want on your vacation and there is something to satisfy every member of the family.  There are more activities to tempt you with than you can do on a 7-day voyage so you can=t say you will be bored.  You can even get your teeth whitened!!  Besides the usual hair salon for women, there is now a barber shop for a cut and shave for men, if they did not have time to get ready before your trip.   And if you just can=t keep the office out of your mind, there is complete internet service from your stateroom and now cell phone service from sea. (GSM phones only).  Check your stocks on the market too!  Did I mention acupuncture or ice skating?  No kidding.

This is your week to catch up with yourself, spend the day doing what you want to do, and then enjoy a wonderful evening together as a family around a dining room table with personal friendly service and you don=t have to cook or clean up.  Top of the evening with a first class show or retire to your stateroom and pick a block buster movie.  This ship is only missing a bowling alley and horse stables!

Many of our agents have had the chance to Akick the tires@ on this one (a famous quote by Ray!)  So, give us a call and we will share with you even more than we can write in this article.
